Professional Experience
‍R. Douglas Downing enrolled at Texas A&M University in the Fall of 2000, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, Company A-2.  There he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree before enrolling at South Texas College of Law in 2006.

Mr. Downing joined Sullins, Johnston, Rohrbach & Magers in January of 2009 as a full time law clerk while attending South Texas College of Law in the evening.  After graduating and acceptance to the Texas Bar, Mr. Downing accepted a position as associate attorney.  His practice includes Family Law with an emphasis in Child Custody and Divorces, Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship, and general civil litigation with an emphasis on healthcare provider reimbursement, and sworn accounts.

Recently Mr. Downing has represented clients in connection with family law, including contested divorces, child custody disputes and adoption.  Mr. Downing also dedicates a portion of his practice to drafting wills and trusts for clients, representing estates and beneficiaries, and representing clients in guardianship actions.  Mr. Downing serves as an attorney ad litem in Montgomery County Probate Courts.  Mr. Downing has further represented numerous healthcare providers in successfully obtaining reimbursement.
